WBVHA Conducts Workshop on CLDP PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, March 4: The West Bengal Voluntary Health Association (WBVHS), supported by Save the Children -BRB a national NGO organized a 3 day workshop of Child Led Disaster Preparedness in GSS Mohanpur –V from Feb 18 to 20, 2010. Altogether 30 students of class VII & XI under the care Smt. Meethu Ayepaw, GTT (Sc.) participated in the awareness workshop, framed and trained by Shri Adhir Mondal and Shri Ashim Bala, Facilitator attached to WBVHS, Port Blair.

  During the session the students were practically trained with a wide range of rescue equipments and first aid kits. The students also participated in a drawing competition conducted by the representatives of the NGO. Finally the programme ended with distribution of first aid, rescue & drawing kits to the school by the representatives.
