Port Blair, March 4: The general public have been advised to avoid misuse of drinking water and not to draw water from pipe line by using electric pump, enlarging the diameter of individual pipe line than sanctioned diameter, bifurcation by increasing the number of outlets, tempering with or removal of wheel valves/ stop cock, preventing Govt. servant in discharging their official duties in respect of essential service, utilizing the drinking water other than domestic purpose or allowing the water to go waste without closing the tap after the tank or sump are filled up. 
 
In a notice issues here today, the Executive Engineer, PHED, APWD has further advised the people to use/ provide float valve in their respective tanks to avoid overflow. Persons found violating the above would attract permanent disconnection of their water supply without any further notice.
