First Lady Inaugurates Blood Donation Camp at SSWB |

Port Blair, March 4: A blood donation camp was today organized by A&N State Social Welfare Board in its office complex. The First Lady of these Islands, Smt Bhawanee Singh inaugurated the blood donation camp as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, she expressed her happiness that Social Welfare Board has organized the blood donation camp particularly for women. Such programme, she said will encourage women to come forward in large numbers to donate blood for the needy. Stating that women have shown that they have excelled in every field, she said that women are working together with their male counterparts and contributing immensely for the social and economic progress and development of the country.
In her address, Smt Ratna Kannan, Chairperson, A&N SWB said that the purpose of organizing such camp is to encourage women to come forward in large numbers for blood donation.
