LG commissions Municipal Guest House PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, Aug. 9: The Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM today commissioned the Dugong Guest House of Port Blair Municipal Council. At a function held at the Guest House premises here this evening, the Lt Governor unveiled the plaque and inspected the rooms and suites of the triple storied Municipal Guest House. The newly commissioned Guest House has been named after the State animal of the Islands-‘DUGONG’, which is a large mammal found in the coastal waters of the Islands. Located near the picturesque Marina Park and Rajiv Gandhi Adventure Sports Complex, the Municipal Guest House offers the tourists with a comfortable and pleasant stay at a reasonable cost. The guest house has ten double bedded air-conditioned rooms and two suites and is equipped with all the necessary modern infrastructural facilities that enable the tourists to enjoy their stay in comfortable manner. Separate parking area has also been developed to avoid congestion on the main road. 
 
The Member of Parliament, Shri B. P. Ray, Chairperson and Members of PBMC and senior officers of the Administration and Police Department were also present on the occasion.
