Port Blair, Aug. 12: The foundation stone of a Holiday Home for Central Government employees was laid today by Dr. N. Ravi, Addl. Director General, CPWD (SR), near the upcoming Central Government Office Complex at Ranchi Basti, Lamba Line, Among others, Shri V Ramakrishnan, Chief Engineer, SZI, CPWD , Shri Mohan Khemani, Chief Engineer (E), SR, CPWD and Shri AK Rajdev, Supdtg. Engineer, CPWD, Port Blair were present on the occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony. Shri Rajendra Prasad, Executive Engineer-cum-Estate Manager, welcomed the gathering. 

The three-storied Holiday Home building will be constructed at a cost of about Rs. 4 crores and is expected to be complete by July next year. The Holiday Home will have a total of 15 double-bed rooms, including 4 suites for senior officers, a kitchen and a dining lounge. The work for the construction of the building has been awarded to contractor Surya Rao.
