Multi Media And E Learning Cyber Centre Inaugurated At NCS, Port Blair PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, Aug. 12: A state-of-the-art “Interactive Multi Media and E Learning CYBER Centre” was dedicated to the “Generation Youth” of the Navy Children School, Port Blair by Mrs Chitra Joshi, President, Defence Wives Welfare Association (DWWA) on 12 Aug 10. The function was attended by various members of DWWA, along with Principal, teachers, parents and students of NCS, Port Blair.

The aim of the centre is to provide a superior and conducive environment to the students to explore the latest developments in field of science and technology. The centre consists of a modern computer lab and a model classroom. The modern computer lab is facilitated with fifteen computers which are connected to dedicated Wi-Fi broadband internet connections, able to provide internet connectivity to thirty students at time. This will enable them to browse over various educational and information websites making for more effective and interactive learning.
 
The model classroom is provided with modern interactive whiteboard display and a projection system interfaced with an internet enabled computer for the e-learning packages. Features like touch screen enable the instructor to demonstrate the topics more effectively and to save the display screen for ready reference by the students. The computer connected with internet enables conduct of live on line e- learning packages.  

These facilities have been made possible under the aegis of the welfare initiatives by the Defence Wives Welfare Association (DWWA).
