Port Blair, Aug. 20: The Director Panchayat & Municipal Elections, Shri S.N. Jha held a briefing for the members of Press as well as the representatives of political parties at the conference hall of the district office here today following the issue of notifications in respect of the Panchayat & Municipal Elections.
During the meeting, it was informed that nominations will be received every day between 20.08.2010 to 27.08.2010 during 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM except on Sunday, the 22nd August, 2010 which is a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act. The poll process on EVMs was also demonstrated before the invitees and their queries relating to EVMs were also clarified to their utmost satisfaction.
