Manoranjan Bhakta Visits Neil, Havelock. Addresses Huge Gathering of People PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, Aug. 25: Shri Manoranjan Bhakta, Ex. Member of Parliament and President Andaman & Nicobar Trinamool Congress Committee visited Neil and Havelock Islands on 24th Aug. 2010 in connection with the ensuing Panchayat Elections 2010. At Neil Island the State President received a warm welcome by the party supporters and TMC candidates who will be contesting for the election. 
 
Shri Bhakta also visited the newly established party office of Trinamool Congress at Neil where he spent few hours discussing with the party workers. Later in the afternoon Shri Manoranjan Bhakta left for Havelock Island where he addressed a huge gathering of general public at No. 3. 
In his address the State President explained the need for establishing TMC in the islands as democracy is being killed by the bureaucrats and there is no political parties remaining to oppose. Ultimately it is the general public who become the victims, he said. 
 
Among the prominent local leaders who attended the meetings were: Neil Island – Purnima Sarkar, Nirapada Chatterjee, Khogen Mondal, Ashu Chatterjee, Suranjan Roy, Manimohan Sarkar, Kajal Das, Jantu Biswas and Bitika Das. Havelock: Atul Seel, Sudhanshu Haldar, Nitai Chandra Das, Jeevan Mistry, Dashrat Mondal, Jhumur Biswas, Deepali Das, Golak Baroi, Parimal Seel and Amal Sutradhar.
