On the auspicious occasion of “Janmashtami”, I extend my warm greetings to the people of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Janmashtami is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. It is believed that Lord Vishnu reincarnated in the form of Lord Krishna on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. The celebration reaches its peak at midnight, with the birth of Lord Krishna, followed by arti, blowing of the conch and rocking the cradle of the Lord.
I pray that the joy of Janmashtami celebrations may prevail in every home and hearth in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and usher in an era of peace and prosperity for all Islanders.
Andaman Chronicle, is a daily newspaper printed and published by Denis Giles from Port Blair, A&N Islands, India. Andaman Chronicle started its publication in December 2006. The website was launched on 9th of December 2008 on the occasion of its second anniversary.
