Port Blair, Sept. 1: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Arong Car Nicobar is an unique residential institution functioning under Ministry of HRD, Department of School Education and Literacy, Govt. of India. It is established with the prime motto to provide modern quality education to the children predominantly coming from rural areas of Nicobar District. The students are selected for admission through Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test having been conducted every year. It is an opportunity to the students presently studying in class V in Nicobar District to have school education in JNV Car Nicobar. The prospectus-cum-application forms are available at the office of all heads of institutions coming under the jurisdiction of Nicobar District. Apart from this, the students can also get the prospectus-cum-application form from the Office of the Principal JNV Car Nicobar, Office of the Principal GSSS Campbell Bay, Office of the AEO Nancowry and Office of the Education Officer Car Nicobar. The students may collect the prospectus-cum-application form, from the said offices and fill for registration to appear the JNVST to be held on 6th February 2011. After carefully filling the form, the same is to be submitted to the Principal GSSS Campbell Bay, AEO Nancowry through the head of institution concerned in case of students from Campbell Bay and Nancowry respectively so that they could further transmit the same to the Education Officer Car Nicobar on or before 25.09.2010 to reach the Principal JNV Car Nicobar in time on 01.10.2010. The JNVST-2011 will be conducted on 06.02.2011. The students successfully get through the test will be offered admission in JNV Car Nicobar.
