New Tourism Website; Second round meeting on Sep 4 PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, Sept. 3: The Tourism Department has hosted Beta version of its proposed new website on 13th August 2010, with the assistance of the National Informatics Centre, Port Blair. The main purpose of the website is to be more Industry friendly and interactive. The tourism website provides enlisting of hotel of Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the hoteliers directly. To familiarize hoteliers in the proposed enlisting process of their hotels in the departmental website, a second round of meeting is scheduled to convene in the Conference hall of Andaman Teal House Delanipur on Saturday, the 4th September 2010 at 11 hrs. 
 
All hoteliers who could not attend the familiarization session held on 07.08.2010 are invited to participate or send one representative in the above meeting to avail the opportunity offered by Department to facilitate better reach and value of their products/services. Similarly, hoteliers who have already applied for enlistment online and could not do so due to technical reasons also requested to participate in the second round meeting to sort out issues if any. It may be noted that enlisted hotels which are duly approved by the department alone will only find their place in the official website of the tourism department in the future.
