Training to ROs/AROs, Sector Officers held PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, Sept. 5: Training on Counting Procedure for Returning Officers/Assistant Returning Officers (ROs/AROs) for the ensuing Panchayat Election was held at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar auditorium here today. The objective of the training was to apprise ROs/AROs of their duties and responsibilities during the process of counting of votes after elections. 
 
The Director of Panchayat & Municipal Elections (DP&ME) (Deputy Commissioner South Andaman District), Shri S N Jha while briefing ROs/AROs advised them to apprise themselves of the counting process thoroughly so that the process of counting of votes after elections is done without delay and any difficulty.Later, training for the Sector Officers and Police Sector Officers (SOs/PSOs) was also conducted, in which the DP&ME reiterated their role during elections and counting of votes so as to make the entire process of elections smooth, fair & transparent.
