Port Blair, Jan. 23: As per orders issued by the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman dry day is to be observed on 26.01.2012 in connection with the Republic Day.

No liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and establishments selling/ serving liquor shall be permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever on the aforesaid days.

This order is applicable to IMFL vending licences i.e. ANIIDCO, CSD Canteen, all Defence Canteens, Police Mess and all private bar licencees.

Similarly, all the bars and ANIIDCO wine shops under North & Middle Andaman district shall observe 26th January 2012 (Republic Day) as dry day as per the Excise Policy of A & N Administration. Any violation of this condition will make liable for cancellation of licence.
