Tributes Paid To Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose PDF Print E-mail

Port Blair, Jan. 23: The Union Home Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram, along with the Lt. Governor, Lt. Gen (Retd.) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM paid floral tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary at a solemn function held at the Netaji Statue, Marina Park here this morning.

The Chief Secretary, Shri Shakti Sinha, Chairperson PBMC, Smt. Firdosh Bibi, Senior Officers of the Administration, prominent citizen and general public also paid floral tribute to Netaji on the occasion.

Thereafter, the Minister visited submerged farmers’ land at Sippighat and interacted with the affected farmers of the area. He also interacted with the residents of Tushnabad. The Minister then was driven along the Andaman Trunk Road (ATR) and was apprised of its significance for the people of the islands.
