Interaction with local people with the cooperation of A&N Administration, National Integration Camp, Fishermen Awareness Camp, Navy Mela, Pre-recruitment/ pre-conditioning training at various colleges, engaging local labours etc. have been our activities in addition to our primary role, narrated the CINCAN.

“We have supported local populace during croc attacks, fire accidents, cases of drowning and even extended our assistance to a cargo ship ‘Gati’ during distress. All elements of ANC have also joined to undertake extensive drive to protect and preserve the environment. Drives like beach clean up, planting saplings etc.  are among them”.

“In order to reach medical assistance of specialists and super specialists to the remotest islands, we have conducted as many as 16 medical camps. About 400 patients have been examined and treated in a single day during the camp”.

“Social activities by the Defence Wives, participating in sports and other events organised by the state explains that we are not here only for defence but for the wellbeing of the islanders. I assure you that we will do our best to reach out to the people in whatever succour they face”, the CINCAN added.
